At HELM, we are looking for a dedicated and hands-on Supply Chain Operations Manager (m/f/d) to strengthen our team in Poland. In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end operational supply chain processes, ensuring seamless collaboration between customers, suppliers, and logistics partners.
You will play a key role in delivering excellent service while continuously optimizing efficiency, compliance, and performance within a dynamic international environment.
This role will be a limited position for 2 years.
Your Responsibilities:
- Drive smooth and efficient day-to-day supply chain operations across products, markets, and customer segments, balancing cost efficiency and service excellence
- Act as the key operational interface to customers and suppliers, ensuring a high level of service throughout the entire order lifecycle, including after-sales support
- Select, manage, and develop logistics service providers to secure reliable and high-quality logistics performance
- Execute and monitor business transactions in SAP (SD/MM and TM), ensuring accuracy and operational excellence
- Perform all relevant month-end and year-end closing activities within the supply chain scope
- Handle external complaints professionally, including the preparation and follow-up of 8D reports
- Identify and report process deviations, contributing actively to continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with internal standards (ARIS, ISO, HELM principles) as well as external regulations such as dangerous goods, customs, and foreign trade laws
Your Profile:
- Proven experience in operational supply chain management, logistics, or a comparable role within an international environment
- Strong hands-on expertise in SAP SD/MM, ideally complemented by knowledge of SAP TM
- Solid understanding of logistics processes, customs regulations, and compliance requirements (e.g., dangerous goods handling)
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Structured, detail-oriented, and solution-driven working style with a strong sense of ownership
- Experience in complaint management (e.g., 8D methodology) and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong communication skills and the ability to advise Sales and Product Management on supply chain topics
- Fluent Polish and English skills; additional language skills are a plus
