We are looking for a Senior Sales Manager & Country Head Italy (m/f/d) based in Milan who will not only take responsibility for our commercial success but also act as the official representative of our company in Italy. This is a unique opportunity to combine strategic leadership with operational excellence in a high-impact role.
Your Responsibilities:
Sales Management
As Senior Sales Manager (m/f/d), you will:
- Take functional and strategic leadership responsibility for two Business Managers and ensuring alignment with overarching business goals.
- Ensure the continuous optimization and execution of EU-wide sales and operational processes.
- Collaborate with Regional Business Development, industry specialists, and other Sales Managers to successfully develop selected industries.
- Take full budget responsibility for turnover, volumes, and gross profit of the distribution business in your assigned territory.
- Maintain strong partnerships with existing customers while actively identifying and developing new accounts.
- Drive business growth by generating new product opportunities and innovative business models.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all customer-related matters, ensuring exceptional service and customer satisfaction.
- Lead strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the EU distribution business in Italy.
- Expand our business and optimize profitability by identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency.
- Assess local market risks and develop effective strategies to mitigate them.
- Build and manage long-term customer relationships, including leading negotiations and closing contracts.
Legal Representation
As the Legal Representative (m/f/d) of the HELM subsidiary in Italy, you will:
- Serve as the official legal representative of the organization within the Italian market.
- Ensure compliance with all Italian laws, regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Represent the company in legal, administrative, and governmental matters.
- Safeguard the company’s interests by assessing and mitigating legal and operational risks.
- Support the management team with insights on local governance, compliance, and risk exposure.
Your profile:
- Minimum of 10–15 years’ experience in the chemical distribution industry.
- Solid expertise in Methanol, Acids, and Lyes, considered essential for this position.
- Proven ability to combine strategic leadership with hands-on execution, particularly within the Italian market.
- Strong background in managing and working with KPIs to ensure performance and growth.
- Familiarity with SAP, Salesforce, or comparable CRM/ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Fluency in both Italian and English, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
