- Sales and marketing of clearly defined chemical products to existing customers as well as the development of new accounts within the Midwest US region
- The employee plays an active role in the process of:
- developing new products
- prospecting, lead generation, industry segmentation
- Evaluating and proposing the required logistics setup to be successful in the region.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the proactive management of our existing customers and support the positive development of these relationships through regular customer visits and interactions.
- Focusing on the Midwest US region, you will also promote the establishment of new customer relationships and the development of new product opportunities. In doing so, you will act in a motivated and creative way with regards product & regional sales strategies.
- Handle customer problems with a solutions-oriented mindset in cooperation with the respective product manager and supply chain manager
- Attend national and regional trade shows to present the company, strengthen relationships with existing customers and establish relationships with potential new clients
- Attend company strategy meetings, sales meetings, and Townhalls
- Thoroughly maintain and update customer information in the provided tools (e.g. Salesforce ) in the form and frequency defined by the the Head of Sales
- Write and save meeting reports that summarize discussed topics and action items in a timely manner as per the rules defined in the Sales Handbook
- Request customer credit lines and make sure sufficient credit lines are in place at all times to cover the pertinent sales. Monitor and folow up on customer payments.
- Check and communicate purchase orders from customers to customer service and management for order processing (in cases where the customer does not send orders directly to the product inbox)
- Manage and submit expenses, following the rules defined in the quality manual
- Interact with and assist fellow sales managers as required. Refer out of territory leads to the respective sales manager(s) and Head of Sales.
- Understand local competition and provide pertinent information to the respective product manager, Head of Sales, and distribute relevant market intel to the entire sales department
Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 5+ years of chemical industry experience in sales, marketing, and procurement of products
- History of successfully growing a sales territory by adding new customers and increasing the value of existing customers
