The Chartering Operations Manager (m/f/d) is responsible for handling all post-fixture activities related to COA shipments and spot voyages. This role oversees voyage execution, cargo nominations, vessel performance monitoring, and laytime/demurrage handling.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage COA shipments and spot voyages upon fixing until completion of voyages
  • Monitor voyage progress and address operational issues.
  • Nominate cargo quantities and performing vessels.
  • Coordinate with suppliers/customers, terminals, agents, ship operators and internal product management
  • Support the laytime desk by pre-checking laytime calculations and arising demurrage.
  • Ensure all voyages are in compliance with Charter Party and other contractual terms.
  • Review vessel documentation and vetting.
  • Analyze voyage costs and support post-fixture reporting.

 

 

 

Required Hard Skills:

  • Charter Party, preferably ASBATANKVOY, knowledge.
  • Laytime and demurrage expertise.
  • Ability to interpret and apply contractual terms.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Microsoft Office tools.
  • Preferably, existing skills in SAP S4/HANA and TM

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and contract management capabilities
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Strong teamwork mentality.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Professionalism and customer focus.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain Business, or related field preferred
  • Experience in postfix operations
  • Liquid bulk experience is considered an advantage.
