In the BCS Supply Chain Dry Goods department, we are responsible for the transport of solid chemicals in containers and trucks, as well as warehousing and developing the logistics network for numerous products.

 

For our location in Hamburg, we are looking for a motivated Supply Chain Operations Manager – part-time 20 h /week (m/f/d). This position is to be filled part-time with 20 h / week and is limited until 30 June 2025 as part of a parental leave replacement. With regard to the organization of working days / working hours, we are flexible as a company and open for candidates' requests.

 

 

Your tasks:

 

  • Your main tasks will include the organization of transports by container, truck or intermodal solutions, the operational and system-related processing (SAP) of our purchases and sales as well as the coordination and negotiation of freight and storage conditions.
  • Here, you will be in constant dialogue with colleagues and act as an interface with Product Management in the Chemicals business unit, Sales Management and the internal service departments.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for communicating with suppliers, warehouses, customers and logistics service providers of HELM AG.
  • You will also oversee administrative activities such as the preparation and realization of monthly and annual financial statements or the processing of insurance claims.
  • Furthermore, you are a team player and are also happy to contribute to project work for the further development of the business unit.

 

 

Your profile:

 

  • You have completed vocational training as a forwarding agent or a comparable apprenticeship or degree.
  • Ideally, you have already gained experience in the logistics or supply chain sector following your training or studies.
  • You have a very good command of written and spoken English. Further foreign language skills are an advantage.
  • Moreover, you are proficient in common IT applications such as the MS Office package and have experience with SAP.
  • You are an open and team-orientated contact person in the team. You enjoy sharing your knowledge and working on any problems in a solution-orientated manner. You are also flexible and can quickly adapt to new conditions.
