In the Supply Chain CE Dry Goods department, we are responsible for the transportation of solid chemicals by container and truck, as well as for warehousing and the development of logistics networks for numerous products.

 

For our location in Hamburg, we are looking for a Supply Chain Operations Manager – Dry Goods (m/f/d) on a fixed-term contract for one year.

Your tasks:

 

  • You will be responsible for organizing transports by container, truck, or intermodal solutions, as well as for the operational and system-related processing (SAP) of our purchase and sales transactions and the coordination and negotiation of freight and warehousing conditions.
  • You will work in close and continuous interaction with colleagues and act as an interface between Product Management in the Chemicals business unit, Sales Management, and internal service departments.
  • In this role, you will communicate with suppliers, warehouses, customers, and logistics service providers of HELM AG.
  • You will also handle administrative tasks such as the preparation and execution of monthly and annual financial statements as well as the processing of insurance claims.
  • Furthermore, you are a team player who enjoys contributing to project work and supporting the ongoing development of the business unit.

 

 

 

Your profile:

 

  • You have completed vocational training as a forwarding agent or have a comparable apprenticeship or academic degree.
  • Ideally, you already have initial professional experience in logistics or supply chain management after your training or studies.
  • You have a very good command of written and spoken English; additional foreign language skills are an advantage.
  • You are confident in using common IT applications, particularly MS Office, and have experience working with SAP.
  • You are an open-minded and team-oriented colleague who enjoys sharing knowledge and working on challenges in a solution-oriented way. You are flexible and able to adapt quickly to new circumstances.
