Our Business Development Team of our Pharma Business Unit is looking for a new Senior Business Development Manager (m/f/d).

 

Your tasks:

 

  • Identify, assess, and drive new business, partnerships and alliances to fill the pipeline in order to ensure future growth and competitiveness.
  • This position is at the center of one of the company’s focus areas for growth and you will be critical in helping identify, evaluate, and translate opportunities in the marketplace.

Pipeline Management

  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential new products, clients and partnerships.
  • Increase the pipeline based on value/ profitability and risk for an aspirational growth path.

Partner Engagement

  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with key industry stakeholders, partners, key decision-makers and influencers.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to represent Helm Pharmaceuticals and generate leads.

Negotiations and Deal Structuring

  •  Preparation of proposals and term sheets
  •  Negotiate contracts, terms and agreements with partners (together with the program management and legal department).

Business Case Modelling

  • Lead the development of compelling business proposals and presentations.
  • Prepare business cases and market-based forecasts for cost-benefit assessment to ensure data-driven prioritization and decision-making including:
  • The competitive context such as the impact of new technology / new molecule development or generic competition.
  • Market understanding by e.g. reference market development, market share assumptions to suggest target values for business cases.
  • Updates on market insights, and business development to senior management, highlighting progress, opportunities, and challenges upon request of portfolio board.

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage internal expertise and capabilities.
  • Build positive relationships across the organization to drive and deliver value for the company.

 

Your profile:

 

  • You should possess a Bachelor-, MBA- oder Ph.D.  degree in Business, Science, Pharmacy, or an equivalent field.
  • With a minimum of 8 years' experience in Business Development or a related role in the Pharmaceutical industry, you're well-equipped for this position.
  • Demonstrating strong business acumen, analytical and strategic thinking, and decision-making skills is essential for success in this role.
  • You bring track record in business development within the pharmaceutical or CDMO industry and in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical landscape, including an understanding of pricing, drug discovery and development processes, regulatory requirements and industry trends.
  • Your communication skills, both written and verbal, along with your proficiency in business development principles, should be well-honed.
  • Strong analytical skills (ability to analyze market data, assess competitive landscapes, and make data-driven decisions).
  • Fluency in verbal and written English is a must-have for this position.
  • This role requires the ability to travel up to 40% of the time, so flexibility and willingness to travel are essential qualities.
