For our Finance Operations Team Europe in our headquarter in Hamburg, we are looking for a motivated Procurement Specialist – Indirect (m/f/d)

 

Your tasks:

 

  • In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining purchase orders for indirect purchases, such as trainings and consultings, as well as for research and development projects in SAP.
  •  You will handle the preparation of vendor invoices and manage supplier master data, including bank details, within the SAP system.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal procurement processes will be a key aspect of your responsibilities, along with supporting the annual financial statements (e.g. accruals, deferrals, and limit orders)
  • Furthermore, you will also serve as a vital communication link between internal departments such as accounting and requisitioners and external suppliers - providing necessary information and clarifying process deviations.
  • In addition, you demonstrate a proactive approach in finding solutions to cope with potential payment delays and constantly thrive for process improvements.
  • Moreover, you will participate in the ongoing development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal improvements, while collaborating with key users, accounting, and purchasing.

 

Your profile:

  • You have a commercial education, a degree, or a similar qualification.
  • You have already had exposure to accounting or accounting-related processes.
  • With 1-3 years of experience, you have proven yourself in a similar position.
  • Your expertise includes knowledge of procurement or accounting processes, ideally in SAP.
  • You are proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, ensuring efficient task execution.
  • A proactive work approach and openness in communication, combined with strong teamwork skills, define your working style.
  • You communicate fluently in German and English, enabling seamless collaboration in an international environment.
