Our IT department for Master Data Management (MDM) ensures that business-critical master data is provided in a structured, compliant, and high-quality manner across all systems and business processes. We operate at the interface between business and IT, continuously improving data flows, safeguarding regulatory requirements (e.g. embargo classifications), and supporting system migrations at scale.
As part of our team, you will gain valuable insight into how data drives operational and strategic success. You will work hands-on with IT tools, real datasets, and global teams to shape the future of data quality and process automation within a modern enterprise environment.
Your tasks:
- In this position, you will gain hands-on experience with system-based maintenance, validation, and quality assurance of master data, such as product and business partner information.
- You will ensure efficient processing of service requests, incidents, and change tickets within the global master data framework.
- Furthermore, you will work with Excel and other IT tools to support the preparation and migration of large data sets, including mass data updates.
- In addition, you will contribute to ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, such as embargo classifications and data governance standards.
- You will coordinate and support smaller IT-driven optimization initiatives in the master data environment, taking responsibility for specific tasks and contributing your own ideas.
- Close collaboration with international business units and the internal IT team will also be part of your role, especially in the context of change requests or system-related inquiries.
Your profile:
- You are currently enrolled in a degree program in (Business) Informatics, Information Systems, or a comparable field of study.
- In this position, you will bring a strong interest in IT systems, data architecture, and process automation.
- You are characterized by a structured and analytical working style with a focus on finding practical solutions.
- In addition, you have solid knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel – ideally including experience with pivot tables or basic VBA.
- First experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) or IT service management tools is a plus.
- Furthermore, you demonstrate a reliable and detail-oriented mindset along with a high level of initiative.
- You communicate openly and enjoy working in a team-oriented, international environment.
- Very good written and spoken communication skills in both German and English complete your profile.
