Internship Corporate Accounting (m/f/d)

Our Corporate Accounting department in Hamburg would like to offer an internship to motivated students (m/f/d) to gain in-depth insight into Corporate Accounting at HELM AG.

Your tasks:

• As part of your internship, you will be actively involved in preparing several individual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) for our companies with different legal forms and sizes. You will also support the team in preparing our consolidated financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) for 41 group companies.  
• You will independently prepare audit documents for, e.g., forward exchange transactions, inventories and inventory confirmations, as well as intercompany receivables and payables, and coordinate with various creditors and debitors. 
• In addition, you will support our reporting and help us to optimise the reporting of balance sheets as well as profit and loss statements. You will also be involved in the preparation of our consolidated cash flow statement. Here, you will be responsible for preparing additional financial analyses and for research tasks for the management report. 
• Other administrative tasks, such as preparing workshop and presentation documents and managing our service level agreements, will also be part of your internship. Here, you will also act as the contact person for any queries from our external auditors.

Your profile:

• You are studying economics – preferably with a focus on accounting/controlling/finance or similar.
• In addition, you have a strong affinity for numbers and are able to apply this in common IT applications such as MS Office 365.
• Preferably, you will be able to support us for 3-6 months.
• You have very good written and spoken German and English skills and, as a team player, you have no fear of using them.
