As an International Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing payroll operations across multiple countries and regions. Your primary focus will be on ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing, maintaining payroll data integrity, and coordinating with internal teams and external vendors. This role requires a strong understanding of global payroll regulations, excellent leadership and organizational skills, and the ability to navigate complex payroll scenarios across different jurisdictions.

 

Your Tasks:

 

  • In this position, you will oversee and manage end-to-end payroll operations across multiple countries and regions.
  • You will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including salary calculations, statutory contributions, and various deductions.
  • Furthermore, you will stay informed about global payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements for each jurisdiction.
  • Therefore, you will collaborate with external payroll service providers and internal HR teams to deliver seamless payroll services.
  • You will review and validate payroll inputs—including employee data, timesheets, benefits, and deductions—to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • In this role, you will manage payroll data integrity and maintain employee records in alignment with data protection standards.
  • To ensure policy adherence, you will develop and implement robust payroll procedures, internal controls, and security protocols.
  • During year-end cycles, you will coordinate key payroll activities such as tax reporting, annual statements, and country-specific filings.
  • You will conduct periodic payroll audits to verify data accuracy, detect discrepancies, and proactively resolve issues.
  • Additionally, you will stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously optimize payroll operations.
  • As a trusted partner, you will provide strategic guidance to HR, finance, and tax teams on payroll compliance and reporting matters.
  • Finally, you will design and deliver payroll training programs to ensure consistent understanding across stakeholder groups.

 

Your Profile:

 

  • You have proven experience as an International Payroll Manager or in a similar role, managing payroll operations across multiple countries and regions.
  • You possess strong knowledge of global payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements across various jurisdictions.
  • You understand statutory deductions, tax rates, social security obligations, and benefits regulations in diverse countries.
  • You have worked extensively with international payroll service providers and managed relationships with external vendors.
  • You are experienced in using payroll software or systems to support efficient processing and reporting.
  • You demonstrate excellent attention to detail and maintain accuracy when handling complex payroll scenarios across jurisdictions.
  • You bring sharp analytical and problem-solving skills to manage intricate payroll calculations and reconciliations.
  • You excel in organizational and time management abilities, effectively handling multiple payrolls and tight deadlines.
  • You respect data protection regulations and uphold confidentiality when processing employee information.
  • You are proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, for conducting detailed data analysis and preparing payroll reports.
  • You adapt quickly to changing payroll requirements and conditions across different countries and regions.
  • You embrace continuous learning to stay ahead of global payroll regulation changes and evolving industry best practices.
