Our Finance Operations Team Europe is looking for a new Indirect Procurement Specialist (m/f/d) in full-time or part-time in Hamburg.

 

Your tasks:

 

  • In this role, you will take charge of creating, updating, and closing Purchase Orders (POs) for indirect purchases in SAP with precision and efficiency.
  • As part of your daily tasks, you will manage incoming invoices in SAP for indirect purchases, ensuring smooth processing and timely resolution.
  • To ensure compliance, you will adhere to internal process specifications from the Procurement Department (EBS), supporting audit-readiness at all times.
  • During Year-End processes, you will contribute actively by managing accrual processes and preparing Limit IPOs for the upcoming year in SAP.
  • In your interactions with suppliers, you will provide critical purchasing information and proactively address non-conformances to workflow requirements.
  • With a focus on communication, you will facilitate seamless handling of internal (accounting, requestors) and external inquiries through standard communication platforms.
  • By collaborating closely with internal customers, you will proactively initiate solutions to mitigate risks, such as late vendor payments caused by process issues.
  • To drive continuous improvement, you will enhance and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) together with SAP Key Users.
  • Through teamwork and initiative, you will drive internal improvements by collaborating with SAP Key Users, Accounting, and the Procurement team to streamline processes and workflows.

 

Your profile:

 

  • Ideally, you bring a commercial education or a similar qualification with a focus on accounting.
  • With 1-3 years of experience, you have a proven track record in a similar position.
  • Your expertise includes knowledge of procurement or accounting processes in SAP.
  • You possess a solid background in VAT tax handling for invoices across Europe.
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4 HANA (or SAP R3) is essential for success in this role.
  • You are proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, ensuring efficient task execution.
  • A proactive work approach and openness in communication, coupled with strong teamwork skills, define your working style.
  • You communicate fluently in both German and English, enabling seamless collaboration in an international environment.
