Head of Internal Audit (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

In this position, you will act as Head of Internal Auditing (m/f/d) by leading a small team globally. You will act as counterpart for HELMs Management Board, Business Units, Corporate & Service Functions and report to the CEO by contributing your expertise in the following areas of responsibility:

• Internal Auditing ensures compliance with legal laws and group policies at HELM and supports the Executive Board and the CEO in all Audit topics.
• You will assess appropriateness and functionality of existing elements of HELM's Internal Control System and focus the development of these in relation to the company's objectives.
• Additionally, Internal Audit supports the Executive Board by identifying deficiencies within the organization and develops solution proposals.
• You also see it as your task to identify future-oriented improvement opportunities that go beyond pure auditing.
• The topics you will also support include HELM's risk-oriented audit planning. Here you are creating an annual audit plan based on own risk analysis, in coordination with the Executive Board. In case of fraud, you and your team will investigate these cases and provide solutions how to mitigate these risks.

Your profile:

• You have a degree in the field of auditing or finance with a focus on auditing and governance.
• Through your several years of professional experience in international companies, you have been able to build up extensive knowledge in various areas of auditing, finance or governance.
• In addition, you have the ability to understand the business orientation of a family-owned company and to understand and simplify complex issues.
• You work in a routine and goal-oriented manner with a strong hands-on mentality. When following audit projects, you show an analytical and forward-looking mindset - with an eye for business processes and an analytical understanding.
• You are proficient in working with IT applications. Ideally, you have knowledge and professional experience in working with SAP.
• In this context, you are characterized by a communicative, empathetic, and authentic personality with a positive charisma. You also have strong intercultural skills and focus on finding solutions.
• Strong presentation skills in English, written and spoken and preferably also in German and / or Spanish, complete your profile.
