Our Crop Nutrition Team Central Europe is looking for a new Customer Service and Operations Lead  (m/f/d) in our headquarter, based in Hamburg.

 

Your tasks:

 

  • In this role you will be responsible for maintaining the team organization in Central Europe and aligning tasks with the directives of the CSO EU Europe and Asia Director.
  • The implementation of the CSO Central Europe Crop Nutrition strategy alongside procurement, sales and other relevant departments, will be a significant part of the position.
  • You will coordinate inbound and outbound logistics diligently and thereby ensure compliance with contract terms and effective communication with stakeholders. Your role will involve anticipating and facilitating customs clearance procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Your priority will be to provide excellent service to suppliers and customers, equipping your team with necessary tools and guidelines. Therefore, you have a constant exchange with the CSO Director.
  • Your duties include accurate stock monitoring for commercial and controlling purposes, facilitating year-end inventory closure. Furthermore, you will be responsible for closely tracking costs, advising on any deviations based on SAP conditions, and ensuring financial efficiency. Managing currency hedging effectively will be essential for you to achieve optimal outcomes in your role.
  • Your oversight will extend to ensuring efficient invoicing practices, resolving issues with teams and the credit department, and consulting the CSO Director when necessary.
  • Ensuring claims are managed in accordance with established procedures and maintaining adherence to quality standards will be part of your responsibilities.
  • You will play a key role in organizing order processing and transportation logistics within the SOCE region, ensuring smooth operations.
  • It will be your responsibility to update ERP systems promptly and accurately with all business transactions. You will also provide support to key users ensuring the seamless operation of SAP/ TM business transactions.


Your profile:

 

  • You possess an apprenticeship in commercial or international trade, supply chain, or an equivalent field.
  • A minimum of 5 years' proven experience in team management is necessary to fulfill the requirements of this role.
  • While shipping knowledge is beneficial, experience in commodities environments is advantageous.
  • You bring a solid understanding of SAP and possess strong IT skills to implement root cause analysis for continuous operational improvement.
  • Your dynamic character and positive attitude will be key assets in this position. You should have a solution-oriented mindset and the ability to challenge existing processes.
  • Fluency in German and English is essential, with proficiency in an additional language being advantageous.
  • You should be willing to travel occasionally to Vienna, Lithuania and our warehouses.
