Join Our Team as a Finance Manager (m/f/d) in the Service Unit Accounting 

Are you ready to take the next step in your finance career? At HELM, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Finance Manager to strengthen our Accounting team. In this key role, you will contribute to the financial integrity and success of our group by ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and collaboration across departments. If you thrive in a dynamic, international environment and are passionate about numbers, we’d love to hear from you! 

 

Your task: 

  • Preparing monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Law (HGB) for companies within the HELM Group.

  • Managing general ledger accounting, including reconciliations and intercompany transactions.

  • Handling fixed asset accounting, ideally with experience in a production environment.

  • Analyzing financial results and monitoring key variances. 

  • Ensuring compliance with internal monthly reporting requirements for Group Controlling. 

  • Collaborating closely with the Shared Service Center for sub-ledgers, Group Accounting for consolidation, and the Controlling and SAP teams. 

  • Ensuring timely and accurate submissions to tax authorities.

  • Experience with Service Level Agreements is a plus. 

  • You serve as the primary point of contact for internal accounting inquiries, requests from business units, and external inquiries—such as those from auditors during the year-end audit.

 

Your profile: 

  • You have successfully completed a degree in business administration or a related field, ideally with an additional qualification as a certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter IHK).

  • In-depth knowledge of the German Commercial Law (HGB) is required; familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is a plus.

  • You are proficient in standard IT applications (MS Office, Excel) and experienced in using ERP systems, ideally SAP S4/HANA.

  • Excellent German and English language skills complete your profile.
