As an internal service partner for different trade and marketing departments, our Credit Department assumes a central role in receivables management and in securing our business activities. To strengthen our motivated team, located in Hamburg, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Credit Control Specialist/ Credit Controller (m/f/d) in an unlimited contract.


Your tasks: 


  • In your function you will be mainly responsible for the risk assessment of a defined country and customer portfolio of HELM AG. 
  • In this context, you will independently check the credit assessment of existing and new customers and assign appropriate credit limits. 
  • You act as a contact person for external partner companies and cooperate with a credit insurance company in securing business transactions. 
  • In addition, you will be also responsible for the receivables management within the Credit department which includes the monitoring of customer accounts, dunning and collection activities.  


Your profile: 


  • You have completed a completed professional commercial apprenticeship - preferably as a merchant in wholesale and foreign trade or as a bank clerk. 
  • In previous positions you have already gained professional experience in national and international credit management. In this context, you have also cultivated a structured, analytical, and precise way of working. 
  • You have a strong affinity for finance, and you are an open contact person within the team as well as with external stakeholders. You enjoy sharing your knowledge and working on possible problems in a solution-oriented manner.  
  • You are proficient in common IT applications such as the MS Office package - ideally you already have experience with an ERP system (SAP). 
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English complete your profile.
