As a (Senior) Sales Manager (f/m/d) for HELM’s Business Unit Chemicals in Europe, you will join a committed and collaborative team working closely with our global organization. In this role, you will drive the development of chemical product sales and strengthen HELM’s position within your regional market. Applicants for this role can be also home based in Hessen, Thüringen, Rheinland-Pfalz, Saarland, or Baden-Württemberg.
Your responsibilities:
In this role you will manage the following areas of responsibility:
Account & Relationship Management
- Manage and further develop an existing HELm customer portfolio across Base & Industrial Chemicals as well as Chloro Alkali.
- Maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through regular visits and professional engagement.
- Analyze customer needs, market trends, and competitive developments.
Business Development
- Identify and cultivate new customer relationships and product opportunities in your region.
- Execute business plans and develop account strategies to support sustainable growth and new business.
- Translate insights into effective sales strategies in coordination with your team.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the teams business development, product management, and supply chain to create tailored customer solutions.
- Represent HELM at industry events, fostering valuable relationships and expanding your professional network.
Your profile:
- Degree in business administration or comparable commercial training.
- Several years of experience in procurement, marketing, or sales within the chemical industry.
- Strong sales management expertise and proven ability to negotiate long-term sales contracts.
- Agile, decisive, and able to adapt quickly to changing market conditions.
- Recognized as a reliable, trustworthy negotiator with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Proactive, team-oriented, and open to new challenges.
- Skilled in identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Confident user of common IT tools (MS Office, Salesforce, SAP or similar).
- Willingness to travel regularly (up to 30%).
