To further expand our fiberglass and solid performance materials business in the DACH region, we are looking for a motivated and technically minded (Senior) Product Manager – Fiberglass (m/f/d) to join our team in Hamburg.
In this role, you will have the chance to drive growth, work closely with leading manufacturers and customers, and help shape the strategic direction of a dynamic business segment.
Your tasks:
- Take full responsibility for a central part of HELM’s fiberglass and performance materials portfolio, managing products such as direct roving, chopped strands, mats, and related reinforcement solutions while developing them in line with market needs.
- Drive sales and business growth across the DACH region by identifying new opportunities, expanding customer relationships, and initiating projects that strengthen our position in the composites value chain.
- Develop customer-focused sales strategies that combine commercial and technical expertise, enabling you to offer tailored solutions to both suppliers and customers.
- Collaborate closely with international manufacturers and regional customers to develop new applications, optimize existing products, and continuously innovate within the fiberglass segment.
- Define and execute short- and medium-term strategies, including pricing, competitive positioning, and risk/opportunity assessments to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.
- Work hand in hand with HELMs Supply Chain Operations teams on purchase planning, inventory optimization, and the management of international value chains while analysing sales data and market trends to identify actionable opportunities
Your profile:
- Degree in Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a comparable qualification.
- Professional experience in product management, technical sales, or procurement within the composites, compounding, or reinforcement materials industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to assess risks and opportunities in regional or global supply contexts; experience in distribution or principal representation is an advantage.
- Knowledge of titanium dioxide, pigments, or other solid performance materials is beneficial.
- Willingness to travel within the DACH region and build strong long-term customer relationships.
