(Senior) Digital Transformation Manager (m/f/d)

 

The department Strategic Development within our business unit chemicals is responsible for a variety of global projects to further develop and implement our digital strategy within the business unit. To strengthen our team located in Hamburg, we are looking for an experienced (Senior) Digital Transformation Manager (m/f/d).

 

Your tasks:

In this role, you will take over the responsibility for the global digital transformation program of the business unit Chemicals. You will steer and develop our digital journey together with internal and external stakeholders in cross-functional teams in order to successfully implement solutions, which increase operational efficiency and create new digital revenue streams.

 

In detail, this means:

  • You are responsible for continuously building and executing our strategic digitalization vision, taking care of further developments of existing as well as the conception of new digital products/projects (e.g customer portal as a central digital interaction point with partners).
  • The steering of a global support structure for our digital solutions and platforms (e.g. Automation solutions, Supply-Chain tools and customer portal) is also part of your role. This includes internal & external service provider management (Development Partners, Service Providers, HELM IT) and the training of end-users in our digital ecosystem.
  • Here, you will steadily conduct market and competition analyses and will observe current trends to further enhance our digital environment.
  • In addition, you will collaborate with the internal and external stakeholders to define and specify detailed requirements and improvement potential. Leading project teams, you will ensure the transition of such new requirements into live systems. 
  • In doing so, you are also in charge of the maintenance and prioritization of product backlog(s) and you will create digital business cases for the evaluation and prioritization of requirements and concepts.
  • Furthermore, you will establish a KPI landscape to track and measure our digital transformation journey and its business value. By this, you ensure a smooth and targeted transition from old to new processes – starting from change management planning to the execution.
  • As digital transformation manager you will also plan and manage the annual budget for our existing digital environment as well as new projects in the BU Chemicals together with the global BU management. You will also proactively manage our BU digital transformation governance structure to align priorities and focus areas with global teams.
     

Your profile:

  • You have completed a technical, scientific or economic degree, ideally with reference to IT or a comparable field of study.
  • Furthermore, you possess of relevant experience in functions as (digital) product manager / product owner or digital transformation manager.
  • Ideally, you command of knowledge in the area of project management and agile project management, e.g. the SCRUM framework.
  • Moreover, you can be characterized by a strong analytical mindset, always acting in a service- and solution-oriented manner and can demonstrate a high level of comprehension.
  • In addition, you have a high affinity for technology and an understanding of the importance of processes to the same extent.
  • You are proficient in common IT applications (MS Office) and also have an understanding of working with ERP systems, project management software (e.g. Jira, Confluence) and integration of tools.
  • Business fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken, complete your profile.
