As (Junior) Product Manager – Glycols (m/f/d), you will balance 50% product management tasks with 50% project-based activities, contributing to both the strategic and operational success of our Glycols business in Europe.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll drive market strategies, build strong business relationships, and provide key analytical insights to support strategic decision-making.

Your responsibilities:
Market Strategy & Business Development
- You will actively participate in the determination of the mid- to long-term market strategy for the European region and take ownership of its successful execution.
- By conducting in-depth market research, you will explore and develop new business opportunities across Europe, Africa, and the Oil & Gas sector.
- Additionally, you will continuously expand your knowledge of products and markets, (applications, markets, capacities, demands, product flows) to ensure a comprehensive understanding that supports strategic decision-making.
Negotiations & Partnerships
- You will negotiate short-term and long-term contracts with direct accounts, either independently or in collaboration with HELM's sales organization, securing favorable terms and conditions.
- Representing HELM with confidence, you will promote our products, pricing structures, and value proposition to our business partners.
- Furthermore, you will establish, strengthen, and expand relationships with direct suppliers, customers, and service providers through virtual and in-person meetings, as well as by participating in regional conferences to foster strong industry connections.
Analysis, Reporting & Decision Support
- You will design and develop metrics and reports, dashboards, and analyses to drive key business decisions for the Glycols business in Europe.
- Also, you will coordinate product availability, optimizing profitability through efficient inventory monitoring and arbitrage opportunities for imports and exports.
- Ensuring contract compliance and profitability, you will monitor and manage contract performance in collaboration with the sales organization to drive sustainable business success.
Your profile:
- You have completed an education program in a relevant field, hold a business degree, or have first job-specific practical experience that equips you with a strong foundation in product management, business development, or sales.
- Your business affinity and entrepreneurial mindset allow you to identify opportunities and implement strategies that foster market growth.
- Moreover, you are curious, proactive, and committed to learning, thriving in an environment that encourages innovation and development.
- Your strong social and communication skills enable you to build and maintain valuable business relationships with customers, suppliers, and service providers. Additionally, your good analytical skills support informed decision-making, process optimization, and strategic execution.
- You enjoy working with data, developing business cases, and aligning commercial activities with market trends and operational requirements.
- Fluency in English is essential, as you will operate in an international business environment, engaging with partners and stakeholders across different regions. Familiarity with key business tools is beneficial: SAP, Salesforce, O365 or Power BI.
