Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development & Market Expansion
    • Drive the market expansion of surfactants (emulsifiers, dispersants, wetting agents) in coatings, metalworking fluids (MWFs), home & personal care, and electronics industries;
    • Identify and capture business opportunities with potential customers, fostering long-term partnerships;
    • Optimize and expand HELM’s surfactants product portfolio in China.
  2. Supplier & Customer Management
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international surfactant suppliers;
    • Work closely with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure stable product supply and optimize sourcing strategies;
    • Manage and expand the customer base, strengthening existing relationships and acquiring new clients.
  3. Market Analysis & Strategy Development
    • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to provide strategic recommendations;
    • Participate in pricing, marketing, and sales strategy formulation to enhance product competitiveness;
    • Collaborate with HELM Europe to leverage existing business foundations and accelerate market growth in China.

Qualifications

  1. Industry Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in the chemical industry, preferably in surfactants;
    • Strong knowledge of surfactant applications in coatings, MWFs, home & personal care, and electronics.
  2. Business Acumen:
    • Proven track record in developing markets and businesses from scratch;
    • Familiar with surfactant products (e.g., emulsifiers, dispersants, wetting agents) and their market dynamics;
    • Strong negotiation and client management skills to drive supplier and customer engagement.
  3. Preferred Background:
    • Chemical Companies: Sales or marketing experience in surfactants from leading chemical manufacturers preferred;
    • Distributors: Experience in surfactant sales from chemical distributors is a plus;
    • End Users: Background in formulation or technical sales in the Home & Personal Care industry is also considered.
  4. Other Requirements:
    • Proficiency in both Chinese and English for effective communication with global teams;
    • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed;
    • Self-motivated and capable of driving business growth in a dynamic market environment.
