In our Finance team within the European Service Unit, we are looking for a Accounts Payable Manager (m/f/d) for our portuguese office
Your tasks:
- You will be responsible for the complete handling of vendor invoices, which includes validating incoming documents, clarifying any open questions with internal stakeholders or suppliers, and ensuring accurate posting in our SAP system.
- As part of your role, you will manage advance payments and ensure, that all transactions are executed in compliance with internal financial processes and SAP guidelines.
- You will perform regular payment runs using SAP/TM5, contributing to the timely and efficient execution of financial operations across our European entities.
- In addition, you will carry out accounting control functions for travel expense reports, ensuring that all submissions comply with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
- You will take ownership of the reconciliation process for bank GL accounts and clearing accounts, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records that support our monthly and annual closing activities.
- Your responsibilities also include supporting the Finance Managers in achieving their operational and strategic goals by providing reliable data and insights from the accounts payable area.
- Furthermore, you will collaborate with colleagues in Hamburg and Portugal to continuously improve accounting processes and ensure smooth cross-border cooperation.
Your profile:
- You hold a degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a comparable qualification, ideally with a strong focus on financial processes and accounting standards.
- You can demonstrate at least three years of professional experience in accounts payable, preferably gained in a SAP-driven environment or within a Service Center environment.
- You have solid IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, and ideally experience working with SAP S/4 HANA or SAP R3, which enables you to navigate complex financial systems with confidence.
- You demonstrate a high level of responsibility and reliability and your structured working style allows you to meet deadlines while maintaining precision and attention to detail.
- You are a team player with excellent communication skills, and you enjoy working in an international environment where collaboration and mutual support are key to success.
- You are fluent in English, and ideally also in Portuguese or Spanish, which allows you to communicate effectively with colleagues and partners across Europe. Additional European languages are a plus.
